Jessie B. Evans
Born in Baltimore, MD but raised in Salisbury, MD, Jessie B. Evans is a producer, writer, and actor.
After graduating from Morgan State University, Jessie moved to Los Angeles where within a year he sold his first reality show to WeTV. Since then he has placed shows at Bunim-Murray, E1, Bravo and Brian Graden Media. In addition to several national commercials, Jessie has appeared in roles on Nickelodeon, Netflix, and TruTV. Jessie’s short “The Talk”, which he wrote and directed, won first place at the AT&T Film Festival and his screenplay “Being The Girl: Bijan Black'' was a finalist in the Macro Black List screenwriting competition. “Vestige”, a short film that he starred in was short-listed for a BAFTA.
Jessie is the Founder of Hollywood Here and the co-organizer of #RaiseThePercentage Virtual Coffee Week, an initiative that has connected over 2,000 underrepresented writers with established writers and executives in free one-on-one virtual coffees. Past Participants & Clients include Peter Gould, Krista Vernoff, Courtney Kemp, Marvel, ABC Networks, Sony Pictures Television and more. The viral hashtag #RaiseThePercentage has garnered over 7 Million timeline deliverables to date and has been featured in The Hollywood Reporter, Money Magazine, The WGA Blog and more. In his free time Jessie enjoys spending time in the boxing ring or reading a good book!
